transfer of risk

The passing from the seller of property to the buyer of the incidence of the loss if the property is damaged or destroyed. The Sale of Goods Act 1979 provides that, unless it is otherwise agreed, goods remain at the seller’s risk until ownership passes to the buyer. After that they are at the buyer’s risk, whether or not delivery has been made.
