reasonable financial provisionThe financial provision that the *dependants of a deceased person can reasonably expect to receive from his estate. If the deceased’s will does not make such provision, or he dies intestate and the intestacy laws do not make such provision, the dependants may apply to the court to make provision for them. A spouse is entitled to reasonable financial provision even if he or she already has enough resources for maintenance; in all other cases, reasonable financial provision comprises what is required for maintenance. |
